I have a background in law and care about ensuring that society is better prepared for the challenges posed by increasingly capable AI. At the moment, I am a Digital Minds Research Fellow at SPAR, where I am working on methods of comparing welfare intensity across animal and digital minds. I am also a Visiting Research Fellow at Legal Safety Lab, working on liability for AI harms across the compute supply chain, and the Research Editor at ILINA.
Before moving into AI-related work, my research focused on legal personhood for nonhuman animals. Animal welfare remains an important part of my work and outlook, and I continue to contribute to it in various capacities.
